Five Recruits that Could Change the Face of the Arizona Program
After two straight years of a record of 8-5 the Arizona Wildcats football team is looking to improve and maybe even win an open Pac-10 conference in this upcoming 2010-2011 season.
But if that doesn't happen this year look for the Wildcats to make a splash in the Pac-10 with recent recruiting success in the past offseason.
Mike Stoops and his coaching staff are still on the recruiting trail but these are 5 recruits from this continuing offseason that could change the face of this program in the future and help them get more big time recruits and win the Pac-10 in the future.
5. Jacob Arzouman OT
1 of 5
Jacob Arzouman is a 3 star tackle from Tucson, Arizona that is at a solid height of 6'5 and weighs in at 280 pounds.
His sophomore year he was an honorable mention and his junior year he was a 1st team all region selection. Arzouman looks to improve his senior year and be one of the best tackles in Arizona again.
Arzouman will put on a lot more muscle in college and looks to be a premiere tackle at the next level.
4. Reggie Gilbert DE
2 of 5
Reggie Gilbert is a 3 star defensive end from Laveen, Arizona that weighs 230 pounds and is 6'3.
Gilbert has the size to be a very good defensive end in college, all he has to do is put on some muscle in college with the weight lifting program.
He has only played 2 years of organized football and is raw but can easily be very good. Gilbert has a motor that never stops and is relentless on getting to the quarterback.
3. Daxx Garman QB
3 of 5
Daxx Garman is a 3 star quarterback commit from Southlake, Texas. He isn't the biggest quarterback but could easily put on more weight at college.
In high school he was very effective his junior year passing for over 2,000 yards and throwing 23 touchdowns.
He is more of a rhythm passer who excels at timing and can make plays with his feet if needed.
Garman also moves around the pocket very well and is a very good leader that could be the quarterback of the future for the Wildcats.
2. KaDeem Carey
4 of 5
KaDeem Carey is a 3 star running back that lives in Tucson, Arizona.
Carey isn't the biggest running back you will see at 5'10 and 180 pounds, but his quickness gets him far.
As a junior in high school he rushed for over 2,700 yards and had 43 touchdowns.
And even though he hasn't gotten many offers yet his stock is going to rise during his senior year with all the numbers he puts up.
1. Rob Hankins LB
5 of 5
Rob Hankins is the best recruit as of right now committed to the Wildcats.
He is a 4 star linebacker from Dallas, Texas that is 6'1 and weighs in at 218 pounds.
Hankins has good speed and pretty good size that he could play any linebacker position at the college level.
But what Hankins really excels at is toughness. Hankins is a tough hard nosed player that has a motor that never dies and he gives effort whenever he plays.
Hankins looks to even play a little bit as a freshman.
