English Premier League Preview: Liverpool vs Arsenal Live: August 15, 2010

Joe LazarAug 14, 2010

This is no doubt the most exciting match of the opening of the Premiership, or at least it would’ve been if both sides were fully fit. The question is: have Liverpool changed enough to give us an interesting watch without the doubtful Torres?

Probably not would be the sensible answer. Added to that injury concern the home side are also likely to be without Skrtel. Still these troubles seem pitiful in comparison to Arsenals walking wounded, not a great way to start the season.

With five players doubtful including Van Persie and Farbregas and three more certainly ruled out this Arsenal side looks more than a little worse for wear.

Generally speaking Arsenal tend to get off to a good start at the beginning of the League, although they usually have a healthier side. They have won eight of their last nine opening games and a win here could really go a long way later in the season.

Liverpool on the other hand have a poor record and have only won two out of seven. Normally the safe bet would be Arsenal to win, but with such a weakened squad it will come down to how many of those doubtful players are able to play.

You can catch Liverpool vs Arsenal live on TV on many TV stations, the most important being Sky Sports HD1, Abu Dhabi Sports HD3, C+ Network, Sky Calcio 1 HD, Sky Sport HD2 (Germany) and of course on Sky Sports 3D.
