Onyewu Headlines Allegri's Call-Ups For Detroit Friendly
Milan boss Max Allegri has chosen twenty two players to dress for the club's fourth friendly since training began, when the Rossoneri take on Panathanaikos on Friday in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
The Motor City will most be looking forward to the appearance of United States' defender and national team star Oguchi Onyewu, entering his second season at AC Milan after an injury plagued season last year saw him make only one official appearance (Sep. 30th vs. FC Zurich).
The American defender missed most of last season after suffering an injury in the final World Cup Qualifier for the United States last October. He did not make his return until May 25th for the United States in preparation for the World Cup.

Allegri has decided to leave off Ronaldinho and Andrea Pirlo, both of whom have yet to play in the preseason.
The squad will once again also feature some standout players from the Primavera club, all of whom impressed the new Milan manager during the Emirates Cup this past weekend.
The squad for Friday's match consists of the following players:
Ignazio Abate, Christian Abbiati, Marco Amelia, Luca Antonini, Giacomo Beretta, Daniele Bonera, Marco Borriello, Mathieu Flamini, Gennaro Gattuso, Alexander Merkel, Alessandro Nesta, Mitja Novinic, Massimo Oddo, Nnamdi Oduamadi, Oguchi Onyewu, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Alexandre Pato, Flavio Roma, Clarence Seedorf, Rodney Strasser, Thiago Silva, and Gianluca Zambrotta.
For Americans who will not be able to attend the match, it will be televised live on FOX Soccer Channel (available through most providers), who are calling this match against the Greek champions "The Clash of the Titans."
Following the match, the club will return home to prepare for the TIM Cup. Brazilians Alexandre Pato and Thiago Silva will report to East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA, where they will meet up with Brazil's national team and new manager Mano Menezes.
Oguchi Onyewu may also head to New Jersey following the match, but USA manager Bob Bradley has yet to announce his squad.
The United States and Brazil will play in front of an anticipated 80,000+ at the New Meadowlands Stadium on August 10th.
