2010 College Football Predictions: The Most BCS-Worthy Game Each Week
The beauty of the College Football season is that there are so many games to choose from on any given Saturday.
The cool thing this season is that early on there are games on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and even Monday.
Every week there is usually one must-see game on.
If you are like me you are lazy, but you don't want to miss a good game.
The ESPN primer is good but they only highlight games that will be on their networks.
What about the ABC, FOX, CBS, and NBC games?
Not to mention the local ones.
Here are some of the best ones that might have BCS Bowl Game impact...
Week One: Boise St. vs Virginia Tech
1 of 15
BSU at Va Tech is the Gold Medal game playing Monday night under the lights, that is a can't miss game.
Silver Medal: LSU vs North Carolina
Bronze Medal: USC vs Hawaii
Week Two: Miami at Ohio State
2 of 15
This second week of the season is packed with great games.
Any of these games could be the best one.
How about Penn State vs Alabama?
Or even Georgia at South Carolina?
West Coast folks would say Oregon at Tennessee is a must see.
This season is going to be crazy!
Week Three: Florida at Tennessee
3 of 15
The Vols host the Gators.
Also interesting: Nebraska at Washington
(We get to find out really early if Jake Locker is the real deal. And if the "Black Shirts" are back.)
Best of the rest:
Arkansas at Georgia
Notre Dame at Michigan State
Texas at Texas Tech
Week Four: Oregon State at Boise State
4 of 15
The Rodgers brothers running on the blue field should be great to see.
Some of the other really good games:
Miami (FL) at Pittsburgh
Stanford at Notre Dame
West Virginia at LSU
Week Five: Penn State at Iowa
5 of 15
I can hear the SEC fans already saying that the Gators vs. 'Bama game is the main match up, but by the time this game comes around Penn State vs Iowa might be a game featuring two top 5 teams.
Here are the other great games:
Florida at Alabama
Washington at USC
Texas vs. Oklahoma
Week Six: Florida State at Miami (FL)
6 of 15
With the resurgence of the Hurricanes, this game is now a must see again.
We'll also find out if The U is ready to be BCS bound.
Other spot light games:
Alabama at South Carolina
USC at Stanford
Baylor at Texas Tech
Week Seven: Texas at Nebraska
7 of 15
Will the 'Huskers challenge for the Big 12 Conference crown?
We'll know this week. I think the winner of this game goes to the title game.
Here are the rest of the games you should watch:
Oregon State at Washington
Ohio State at Wisconsin
Brigham Young at TCU
Week Eight: Alabama at Tennessee
8 of 15
Should the 'Tide be on upset alert?
Other Intriguing games that could have BCS implications:
Notre Dame vs. Navy
Wisconsin at Iowa
Georgia Tech at Clemson
Nebraska at Oklahoma State
Week Nine: West Virginia at Connecticut
9 of 15
This is when we start separating the contenders from the pretenders:
(How is that for a good old fashioned cliche!)
Other potentially great games:
Tennessee at South Carolina
Florida vs. Georgia
Baylor at Texas
Oregon at USC
Week 10: Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech
10 of 15
Taylor and the Hokies think they might be able to sneak into the BCS title game ahead of the SEC this year.
The rest of the great ones:
Oklahoma at Texas A&M
Washington at Oregon
TCU at Utah
Alabama at LSU
Week 11: South Carolina at Florida
11 of 15
The old ball coach goes back to where it all started. Will he coach up his Game Cocks?
Other games I'll be checking out:
Miami (FL) at Georgia Tech
Penn State at Ohio State
Texas Tech at Oklahoma
Oklahoma State at Texas
Week 12: Ohio State at Iowa
12 of 15
Could be the game of the year. Definitely the game of the year in the Big 10.
And could make or break Pryor's Heisman campaign.
Here are the other great games including a couple upset alerts:
Virginia Tech at Miami (FL)
USC at Oregon State
Appalachian State at Florida
Oklahoma at Baylor
Week 13: Notre Dame at USC
13 of 15
Is this the year?!
Is this the year that Notre Dame finally beats the Trojans?
Is this the year that this game means a possible BCS bowl game for the Irish?
Michael Floyd thinks so.
The other games feature the rest of Rivalry Week, Part One:
Florida at Florida State
Auburn at Alabama
Colorado at Nebraska
Michigan at Ohio State
Week 13: USC at UCLA
14 of 15
If it wasn't enough that this is USC's hated cross town rival, this is also as close as the Trojans will get to the Rose Bowl Parade this year, (NCAA sanctions).
Since this is the last game of the season for them, it should be a good one.
And here are the best of Rivalry Week, Part Two:
Arizona State at Arizona
Rutgers at West Virginia
Utah State at Boise State
Week 14: Navy vs. Army*
15 of 15
I'm glad there are no games on to compete with this one.
Gives us a chance to honor the Troops!
From here on out, it's conference championship games and then bowl games.
I hope this helped...
