MLS All-Stars Lose to Manchester United
Wednesday night's game between Manchester United and the MLS All-Stars was a match which promised entertainment and the teams didn't disappoint.
One of the big shocks was that LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena hadn't picked Landon Donovan to start the game.
It took just 23 seconds before Macheda scored the opening goal of the game after a mistake by defender Kevin Alston when he tried to pass the ball back to a fellow defender.

From then on, Man United kept piling on the pressure until a corner was whipped in for Macheda and he finished it off with a delightful header, making it 2-0 in 12 minutes.
After that, the MLS All-Stars were awarded a free kick, and up stepped Juan Pablo Angel. He struck it well, causing Van Der Sar to make an important save.
A little later, Darren Fletcher played a lovely one-two, and before you knew it, he was through on goal, but the All-Stars were saved by the crossbar, causing all the American fans a sigh of relief.
Later on, Javier Hernandez came on to make his Man United debut and became the first Mexican to play for Manchester United.
At halftime, Houston Dynamo legend Brian Ching came on for Angel and scored a header in the 63rd minute, which put the MLS All-Stars in touching distance of an equaliser.
But those chances were shattered when Darren Gibson scored a wonderful free kick, curling it into the top corner to make it 3-1.
It was clear that Manchester United would lift the trophy after youngster Tom Cleverly scored a beauty by getting the ball, flicking it over the defender, and placing it in the bottom corner—incredible.
In the 83rd minute, Hernandez got the goal he wanted on his debut by chipping it over the keeper and into the net.
Toronto FC's De Rosario scored a good consolation goal, hitting it past Van Der Sar.
All in all, it was great game with plenty of excitement, even if it wasn't the score I was looking for.
