Youngsters Tom Cleverley, Danny Welbeck to Be Loaned Out by Man United

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he wants to loan out talented youngsters Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley.

Cleverley, 20, impressed last season while on loan at Watford, making 33 appearances and netting 11 goals from midfield.

Welbeck, 19, also had a short loan spell with Preston North End, which was cut short due to injury.

Now Ferguson wants to loan them out to Premier League sides to gain top-flight experience.

He said, "This is going to be a big season for Danny because for the last three years he has not had a consistent run of games.

"He needs to play all the time, and that is one of the reasons we are considering sending him on loan again to a Premier League team.

"Tom is a very talented boy. He is going to be a very good footballer. We are also considering putting him on loan to a Premier League team."

A number of Premier League sides are interested in the duo, with Sunderland leading the chase for Welbeck with Blackpool FC and West Brom also interested.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United and Blackpool FC are both chasing midfielder Cleverley.

A loan move to a smaller club such as Blackpool will be more beneficial for both players, as they are going to get a lot more game time.
