2010 College Football Rankings: Why Ohio State Should Be No. 1
The beginning of college football season is right around the corner. For Buckeye fans, the question is where will Ohio State be ranked?
In my opinion, OSU should be ranked No.1.
Last season was a great season for the Buckeyes, and since they have had time to improve on their talents, this season should only be better.
In addition to having time to improve on their abilities, the Buckeyes have managed to keep many of their star players, including the star quarterback, Terrelle Pryor.
Last season, the Buckeyes had a great record. OSU went 10-2 during the regular season.
While OSU didn’t end up as the top ranked team in the nation, they were ranked number eight at the end of the season according to ohiostatebuckeyes.com.
This ability to keep their ranking in the top ten throughout the season last year, in the addition to the time they have had to improve on their talents since last season, could be a good indication of the Buckeyes' potential success next season.
OSU was also a BCS Bowl winner last season.
While a regular bowl game win is no national championship, it is still a championship win. Especially when you defeat the Pac-10 champion Oregon Ducks.
The Buckeyes should also be ranked No. 1 this season because they have Pryor on their team. Pryor is one of the best, if not the best, quarterback in all of college football.
With all of their talent talent, and the returning team around Pryor, the Buckeyes have a great chance at beating everyone they face this season.
