No Deal Yet for Ronaldinho, Milan To Get Lukas Podolski?

Tim FontenaultJul 14, 2010

Ronaldinho may not be leaving just yet.

Reports claim the Brazilian is on his way back to his home country to join Flamengo, but reports from both Milan and his agent deny such claims.

"Ronaldinho has never expressed a wish to leave Milan," Ronaldinho's brother and agent, Roberto de Assis, told Gazzetta dello Sport . "In fact we have an agreement with Milan to review his contract in the autumn."

Speculation of a Ronaldinho exit has elevated over the past several weeks. Last week, he dined with the president of Flamengo and they reportedly discussed a move. Rumors from Brazil have stated that the two time World Player of the Year has already agreed to terms.

However, with one year left on his contract and reportedly the potential extension, the only striker that appears to be leaving the red and black is Dutchman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The former Ajax and Real Madrid player has drawn interest from several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Manchester City. Milan could be set to cash in on the former Dutch scoring champion as they prepare to move for German Lukas Podolski. The 25 year old has drawn large interest from the club and according to Adriano Galliani, a deal is possible.

"Podolski will arrive only if one condition is met and that is the transfer of Huntelaar to the (English) Premier League, which would then open a few paths from a financial standpoint," Galliani told Sky Sport 24 .

Milan have also been rumored to be exploring options with Gennaro Gattuso with Tottenham reportedly interested. After Podolski, Milan have also expressed interest in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Keisuke Honda, Clint Dempsey, Eder, Luis Fabiano, Edin Dzeko, and Milos Krasic.
