Ann Arbor predicts MSU's Season...

Recently SpartayMSU wanted to get a feel for the public’s opinion on the upcoming 2010 football season..  Yes, here at SpartyMSU we are somewhat positively predisposition for a powerful prognostication of a prosperous and positive outcome of the team’s fortunes…

Sure, I could head to an establishment in E.L., but this spring when I flew to “Middle America” to get help in picking my March Madness brackets in Tara Haute, it worked out pretty good… So why not  try it again….

So, where else to get a feel for the season’s possibilities, then to  go right to the enemies door step.. Whats that old saying, keep you friends close and your enemies closer. So, we headed to Ann Arbor and German Park .. An outdoor German society gather ing in the middle of BFE Livingston County…   www.germanpark.com

Close to Ann Arbor, the city of the University of Michigan, no place else on earth are the Spartans so hated more than right there near A squared.…  Where else to get a non-Spartanesque feel for the Season.

I figured that the opinions would run on the low side for the Spartans.. . but, Oh Contraire Pierre… Actually, they were more down on the fortunes of their own Wolverines than on the Spartans… 

Wearing my Spartan Hockey jersey, I thought would have riled them enough to bring out more pro yellow and blue emotions…. But my  initial assumptions were totally incorrect… Sure, I ran in to a few anti-Spartans, but for the most part, they seemed realistic on both teams chances for the year… Yes, no question they were skewed towards Higher wins for the Wolverines and less for the Spartans… but, we’ll take that into account.

And on top of everything else,  they were 100% anti the current Rich Rod football leadership, they all either shrugged their shoulders or wished U of M would move on to a more “Michigan Man” type of leadership.. what ever that means…

They did have favorable opinions on Dantonio… Could the Green Kool-Aid be draining south to Ann Arbor.. Maybe.. .Maybe… were the anti-MSU feelings dulled by the German Park alcohol.. Possibly.. possibly…  Or is it that the  AnnArbor residents are more favorable on the Spartans this year then their own Wolverines… probably yes.. probably…

Looks like everyone is predicting a good season for MSU and a so-so season again for the wolverines.. 


I highly recommend a trip to German park.. much more Green and White than I anticipated… a good time drinking with semi-level headed sports fans…
