Yossi Benayoun Signs Three-Year Deal With Chelsea

With the transfer season in full swing, the last couple of days, there has seen some exciting and interesting developments in the English Premier League.

Among them is the confirmation of two major signings; the first is that of Yossi Benayoun, the former Anfield man has now inked a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Benayoun has proved his worth in the Premier League after having spells at West Ham, followed by Liverpool. Now the new challenge will be to win over the fans in London.

With Liverpool having just brought in Roy Hodgson to lead the ship, he has to be a little disappointed at losing such a vital player.

On the other hand Carlo Ancelotti is thrilled at his latest catch,

"We are happy to have this new player," Said Ancelotti on the website.

"Yossi has a lot of quality in midfield and can play in lots of positions. I like his behavior on the pitch and he will do a great job for us next season."

Benayoun also expressed his happiness: "I am very excited to come to a club like Chelsea, it is a big club and I think it is a dream for every player," he said.

"Hopefully we will be successful."

This gives Yossi a chance to challenge for the title - something that has evaded Liverpool for years. Also the opportunity to continue playing in Europe, the Champions League is always a key factor in players making moves.
