NBA Rumors: Ray Allen To Miami Means Possible 'Dream Team' in South Beach?

Tony SantorsaJun 30, 2010

The countdown has begun. The NBA's summer has started.

As of late, rumor has it, that Ray Allen might end up signing with the Miami Heat, alongside a cast of superstars.

Reports have stated that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Ray Allen have all spoken with each other and wouldn't mind forming a "Dream Team" in Miami.

This is not going to happen. Let me repeat, not going to happen.

There is little chance that all players involved would take a major pay cut to play with each other. And on top of it, Ray Allen is looking at his last chance for a major contract, so I doubt he'd take a pay cut.  Also, I might add, I truly believe that Ray Allen won't leave Boston, especially with knowledge of Doc Rivers remaining head coach of the Celtics

I do believe that there is a very good chance that one superstar will join forces with Dwyane Wade in Miami. I think that player, realistically, is Chris Bosh.

LeBron? I just don't see him going to Miami.

This is going to be one hectic and historic free agency. One of the most anticipated we'll see in a while. All we can do is sit back and wait to see where all of these stars will land.

It's the final countdown.
