Arsenal Transfer Prospects:Will Signing Loic Remy Mean the End of Vela?
After failing to secure a trophy for his fifth consecutive season, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to implement changes to his talented squad to ensure that trophies are not squandered in the future.
This statement has allowed numerous rumours to circle viciously over many players. Wenger is expected to fill voids in every key position which should hopefully, for fans, see the arrival of a defender, midfielder, striker and most importantly, a keeper.
One promising talent on Arsenal's radar is Nice striker Loic Remy. The Frenchman has attracted the attention of many top flight clubs after a number of impressive seasons in the French Ligue 1.

The likes of West Ham, Tottenham and even AC Milan are all vying with Arsenal for the 23 year olds signature.
Remy is a strong, pacey striker with good balance and a ferocious shot. The former Lens sharpshooter has a tidy strike rate having notching 26 goals in 69 appearances for his current club Nice.
It's no secret Wenger is in the market for strikers after last season saw Arsenal struggle for fire power up front due to injuries. The Frenchman has already signed Moroccan Marouane Chamakh to bolster his forward line and if Wenger is able to bring Remy to the Emirates than Arsenal will boast a crowded, quality forward line.
But signing Remy would ensure that Wenger would be forced to release at least one striker. One candidate that stands out is pacey Mexican Carlos Vela.
Vela has found limited opportunity at Arsenal and if Remy joins it would mean the likes of Robin van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner, Marouane Chamakh,Eduardo Da Silva, Jay Simpson and Vela all competing for a wing or lone striker role.
Vela had an average World Cup with Mexico in which he picked up a niggling ankle injury. With the news that Remy may be heading to North London, will this signal the end for Carlos Vela?
