FIFA World Cup 2010: Holland Look to Make Their Mark on the WC
Holland's victory over Denmark wasn't the best football the side will have ever played but now, against Japan, they have a real chance to make their mark on the Football World Cup .
Although the Dutch were widely expected to take three points in their first game, Japan's victory over Cameroon was more of an upset. Now though, both sides will know another win will all but secure a spot in the second round.
To be fair to Holland, the manner of their opening victory was completely different to that of Asian counterparts. Although Denmark threatened on a number of occasions, the Dutch always looked reasonably assured and grew in confidence as the game went on.

Japan on the other hand snatched a win in what was a fairly awful game and neither side looked convincing.
It looks like a nailed on win for Holland then, with their flair likely to be too much for a Japan side who seem to lack that extra spark needed in World Cup finals.
However, the Dutch will still be without key man Arjen Robben who is recovering from a hamstring injury. If Japan can stay organised and not make any silly mistakes, they may be able to frustrate their opponents who could be expecting to have things all their own way.
Given that the runners up in the group face a potential second round tie against Italy, neither side will want to slip but after the events of the last few days it does seem that almost anything can happen.
However, if Holland are able to chalk up a convincing victory over a side who must be considered inferior opposition then they, along with Argentina, will stand out as the two most likely World Cup winners .
However, it remains to be seen how much that means in what is shaping up to be a very unpredictable World Cup.
