Utah Pac-10 Report: Utah To Leave Mountain West, Become Pac-10's 12th Team
Just one day ago, Pac-10's master realignment plan came to a collapse.
Texas, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State declined the offers to join the conference, which at the time, seemed like the realignment was coming to an end.
Not so fast. The Pac-10 has already found the 12th team that is joining conference.
According to CSN (Comcast Sports Net) Bay Area via Twitter, the Pac-10 will send an invitation to Utah, who will accept and become the 12th team in the conference.
"The Pacific-10 Conference will extend an invitation to the University of Utah to become the league's 12th team, Comcast SportsNet has learned exclusively from sources close to the situation. A press conference is expected to formalize the announcement on Thursday."
They were great supporters of the Mountain West and loved the conference greatly.
But as they say, money always talks, and this offer was to big for Utah to pass up.
