Big Ten getting Bigger
The Corn Holers from Nebraska have joined the Big Ten…
Is this the only step The Big Ten takes.. or will others join…
This expansions puts a whole new light on road the concept of a football game road trip.
Nebraska is rumored to have a highly rabid fan base.. almost a obnoxious as The Wolverines or Ohio State… Actually looking forward to visiting in one of the near seasons…
Good Bars. But it’s a long ways away form E.L. ..about 730 miles..
That’s 13 – 14 hours with gas, food and bathroom breaks…
What does this new alignment mean to the existing contracts with other Non-Conf. schools ?? With a larger Big Ten (12 – 16 teams), do we cancel a bye week and a couple of the non-con games? Then add games going into first week of December like the southern confs. ?
2011 Non Conference Games
Sept. 3 Youngstown State
Sept. 10 Florida Atlantic
Sept. 17 at Notre Dame
Oct. 8 Central Michigan
Surely we will have to plan for a Conf. Division and Conference playoffs….
The mind whirls.. the horizon spins… If anyone knows how this will play out.. let me know… But, I say dump Youngstown and Florida Atlantic in order to play teams from the other half of the New Big Ten Conference .
Only Time will tell…
Sparty On...!!
