Reggie Bush, Will You Stop the Lying Now?
Larry Burton (Panama City Beach, Fla.) Reggie Bush, if you want to save face, just come clean. Stop the lying.
You and the Trojans are finally judged and found out to be liars.
Nobody believes the benefit fairly magically gave you and your family all that money and housing.
Are you going to play O.J. now and claim to be looking for the "Real" culprits?
O.J. may have not lost his freedom in that first trial, but you will lose your Heisman and that is justice too.
And how fitting, the Lane Kiffin now comes home to lay in the bed that he helped build.
With these sanctions and scholarship reductions, he may be the only person punished who actually had a hand in creating the problem.
You walked away without a scratch a multi-million dollar contract in the NFL.
You created a problem that others are going to have to clean up. The least you can do is be a man and accept the blame for your share of the pain you've caused.
Man up and then tell the players in the NCAA that this is something that was too easy to accept and not to fall into the same trap.
The only alternative is to keep acting like a spoiled, self entitled child and denying that you did anything wrong.
The penalties USC got were actually more severe because you kept lying, and something tells me the likes of Pete Carroll and Lane Kiffin were probably lying all along too.
Like you, Pete jumped ship to the NFL and both of you along with Kiffin who came back to ride the ship to the bottom for some unknown reason, are the reason that kids who were in jr. high school or elementary school pay for your deeds.
If you can live with that without manning up, then I hope some USC Trojan that has to live through this pain will meet you on the field someday and end your career as retribution.
That, like Kiffin having to pay for his part, will be karma come home.
