2010 FIFA World Cup: England Squad Announced, Theo Walcott Doesn't Make the Cut

Fabio Capello announced his 23 man squad and in a shock decision the Arsenal winger/attacking forward has been left out and won't make the trip to South Africa.

Players cut-out from the training squad:

Leighton Baines
Michael Dawson
Tom Huddlestone
Adam Johnson
Scott Parker
Theo Walcott
Darren Bent

England will now focus with the final 23 man squad and look to plan towards their first match in Rustenburg on the 12 June 2010.

Emile Hesky has made the cut along with Spurs striker Peter Crouch and Wayne Rooney.

So after major debate regarding the Phillips-Walcott issue, the City man has got his ticket to South Africa and will look to shine when they face USA in the first encounter.

Defenders: Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock.

Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Strikers: Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney.
