2010 FIFA World Cup: Nigeria Final Roster Announced, Uche, Anichebe Missing
Shocks and surprises were the order of the day as Super Eagles coach Lars Lagerback unveiled the list of 23 Eagles that will fly Nigeria’s flag at the World Cup in South Africa.
Topping the list of the shocks was the absence of Ikechukwu Uche, Everton's Victor Anichebe and Nice defender Onyekachi Apam while Haruna Lukman and John Utaka were the surprise names on the list.
The list consists of 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 6, midfielders and 7 attackers.

Kanu Nwankwo will be taking his third bow at the world cup while Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo, Rabiu Afolabi and John Utaka will be returning to the world cup for the second time as they were part of the 2002 squad to Korea and Japan.
Also Osaze odemwingie will be making his first official bow at the world cup after being listed as an alternate player in Korea and Japan 2002 by coach Adegboye onigbinde.
