Lampard to Kaka: Chelsea and Real Madrid up for the Biggest Swap?

Maxx GMay 30, 2010

Jose Mourinho will be unveiled as the new manager for Real Madrid on Monday.

It will be a new journey for the Special One, who has shown the world of soccer that why he stands out of the rest and why he is the "real" special one.

And Mourinho has already started his plans of action for Madrid.

Mourinho has made it clear that no unsettled player will remain at Madrid next season.

And reports are claiming that Mourinho is up for a swap to get Lampard for Real and offer Kaka to Chelsea in return.

Kaka, bought for 60m in Madrid, has not really been the worth and it seems he forms a part of the list in Mourinho's unsettled ones.

Jose Mourinho has been always a keen admirer of the talents of the England international, Frank Lampard.

Lampard, who has been a part of Mourinho's journey while at Chelsea, had impressed the manager and has had a brilliant last season. He, at 31, is still a threat to any defense and has been the pioneer of Chelsea's triumph at the EPL this year.

Lampard is the perfect playmaker a team can dream of, and given his current form he can a blessing to Madrid if the deal works out really. He can pass well, control the game from the center, and what's more, he can score a lot! And he is a true leader.

Frank scored 22 goals and has made 17 assists in 2009-10 season and is undoubtedly one of the pillars that Mourinho can ride on his dreams in Real.

But at 31, can Lampard do the impossible?

Why impossible? Because Karim Benzema has failed. Because Kaka has failed. Because David Beckham has failed. To live up to the expectations. All a glory before, and then a fallen hero, but can Lampard show the difference?

Kaka, the Brazilian, was bought with a lot of expectations from AC Milan, but unfortunately the 60m transfer only gave 8 goals and 7 assists with a rather ordinary performance.

Ancelotti, the Chelsea manager, has been with Kaka while at Milan, and this can spark the move further—a reunion of the ex-managers and the players.

But will the Brazilian be successful at EPL? A fine player of his class, Kaka had been terrific in his form in Milan and has the ability to build up the play and score in times when needed.

However, given the ages, Kaka(28) will have an edge over Lampard(31), and Chelsea may benefit in the coming years if the move is made.

Also, the question remains, will Chelsea agree to the move and lose their favorite, Lampard, who has already signed a four year contract in 2008?

Though all are still in the speculation stages, but the keen interests of a reunion of the managers and players can ignite the truth of this transfer, and if it happens, it will be one of the biggest moves for this year.

You may be a Chelsea fan or not be, but if you are going through this, I would like to know your opinion about this. Will the move benefit both and yield a win-win situation or will it yield to a chaos for both?

You are free to express the opinion. Cheers.
