The legends will finally meet at UFC 115. Former light-heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell will take on former middleweight champion Rich Franklin in a fight that points towards fireworks.

On June 12, the two legends will battle it out in the 205-pound division. Fans are torn: some support Liddell because of his ferocity and strength, while others support Franklin for his technique and advantage on the ground. Both men are coming off of losses (Liddell to Mauricio Rua; Franklin to Vitor Belfort) and will be looking to earn a win.

This fight was officially announced in mid-April, after weeks of speculation that the fight between The Ultimate fighter 11 coaches Liddell and Tito Ortiz would not be taking place. Last month, it was announced that Ortiz did not finish the taping of TUF, and will not fight Liddell at the conclusion of the show.

Also on the UFC 115 card, Pat Barry will look to take one step closer to heavyweight title contention when he takes on Mirko Filipovic.
