What If Cesc Fabregas Leaves Arsenal?

So as the season has finally come to an end almost some 10 days back, and speaking of something being back is the non stop speculations of players about to be transferred to other clubs across Europe.

To begin with, it was Arshavin and Clichy, then Sagna, and so on. Now it is our captain Fabregas who has come under the scanner and has been there for a long time now. Barcelona, Barcelona, and Barcelona are the clubs behind this player.

I do not understand one thing: Why would he want to leave a team he is the captain of and go to a team where there is already a player much more superior in quality to fabregas and has he place as the sole creative midfielder cemented in the team.

And also since yesterday the British tabloids have been constantly passing on stories about his departure. Nevertheless, he is certain to leave the club this summer or the next. Now, when he leaves, what other options do we have here to replace him and build in a strong squad without Cesc Fabregas?

I believe if he leaves, then Arsenal should at least sell him for a sum between £50-60m. Also circulating the stories are the possibilities of Barcelona including a player or two in the deal for fabregas.

Even this sounds to be something really interesting, IF this sort of a deal is to take place then I would like to see Yaya Toure and Bojan +  £30-35m. And with this kind of money Wenger can sign some big name player similar to that of Fabregas.

Players who can be considered as a direct replacement for Fabregas:

1. Yohan Gourcuff

This player has been impressive for the past two seasons and it seems that some big clubs across Europe are gunning for his signature. So If at all Fabregas leaves the Gunners then I would like this player to come to the Emirates. Although this player has an attacking touch as well as creative instincts, the one thing this player lacks is performance at a consistent level. Would cost around £20-25m.

2. Mikel Arteta

Arteta, on the other hand, had been out injured for a considerable part of the season. But since the time he returned he has been exceptional for Everton this season. I would like Wenger to go for Arteta if the attempt to sign Gourcuff fails. Would cost around £10-20m.

3. Eden Hazard

Hazard, on the other hand, is not a so called creative midfielder but I feel if Wenger could sign him they can change their style of play completely as there are also similar midfielders to Fabregas waiting in the arsenal squad.

4. Aaron Ramsey

Ramsey I feel is the direct replacement (in-house) for Fabregas here, and he has already proved his worth in the past season.
