Real Madrid Biggest Blunders - Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder
Five former Real Madrid players will be battling for Champions League Trophy in Santiago Bernabeu. Wesley Sneijder,Walter Samuel, Esteban Cambiasso, and Samuel Eto'o from Inter Milan, with Bayern Muenchen's Arjen Robben, were few of players that became the Madrid's victim and their cruel transfer system.
In 80,000 capacities stadium, Sneijder and Robben was the last between those five who got released by Real Madrid. It's not that they wan't to leave Real in the first place, infact they were willing to stay. But since Los Blancos had a big €250 million project for buying expensive players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema, Alonso, and Albiol, they chose to sell the Netherlands duo.
How ironically, it seems that Sneijder and Robben got succeded in their current club. Both the players already handed double title for each of their club, and aiming for a treble in Champions League. While Real Madrid did not even make it with a single one. Being humiliated from their defeat to a minor club Alcorcon, flunked in the Champions League, and failed to beat their rival Barcelona in Spanish League, followed with a bad performance in the final.
Would it be better for Madrid if only they had not sold Sneijder and Robben ? They might want to consider Sneijder since he's able to show an important role with a great offensive strategy, one thing that Kaka is failed to do. Meanwhile, Robben could've been clever as a wing attacker, since Cristiano is now play as a striker, to help the front-line.
In the end, El Merengues can only blames Pellegrini for their failure. But they cannot deny, that their hasty action is putting them down the drain.
Those five former Madrid's player that were'nt able to show their best quality, turns-out to succeded more outside Real Madrid. They were examples of how a great football club could made such many blunders which they will regret. So I won't be surprise that in next to come, every European coach will be waiting for Madrid transfer players. Let's say Higuain...?
