Boise State Football To Be Ranked Number 2 in 2010

It's time to start getting excited Bronco fans!

Boise State's rise to power has been nothing short of incredible, and just when you think it couldn't get any better, it does!

I'm talking about the preseason rankings.

(ESPN):

1: Alabama

2:Boise State

3:Ohio State

4:Texas Longhorns

5:Virginia Tech

6:TCU

7:Nebraska

8:Florida

9: Wisconsin

10:Oregon

Yeah, That's right.

The Boise State Broncos are going to start the season at number freaking 2!

BSU! BSU! BSU!

Sorry Ohio State!

Provided you get by Iowa and Penn State you'll just have to settle for the Rose Bowl again against and an at-large qualifier. Maybe TCU will be free?

the Boise State Bronco Football program is second only to the reigning champion Alabama Crimson Tide, as far as returning team members, strength of schedule, and Spring Game performance are concerned.

"But Daddy,preseason rankings don't count"  (whining and crying).

That would be right, except for the fact that its the most ignorant and bogus thing you dweebs could say.

The college teams start the season "ranked" . These "rankings" come from preseason polls like the one I just mentioned.

The 2009 version of this same poll had us starting ranked at number 16.

We started at number 16 in 2009.

This same pollster had us going to the Fiesta Bowl all season long.

BSU went to the Fiesta Bowl last year.

The selection process for the National Championship is extremely simple.

The Teams who happen to be ranked number 1 and number 2 are selected to play against each other.

It doesn't matter if they have played each other earlier in the season.

"But Daddy, Boise State is a bunch of nobodies who don't play anyone. They are ranked too high, and I don't want them to go undefeated and force us out of the National Championship."

Virginia Tech and Oregon State will beat those mean Broncos. And if they don't, well then there's always the Alamo Bowl.
