La Liga: Week 37 Short Previews
Real Madrid vs. Bilbao
Real Madrid goes into this match relying on Barcelona to slip up, which is entirely possible seeing as beating Sevilla will be no easy task.
Real Madrid are by far a better side than Bilbao and they have been almost unbeatable at home this season having won 17 out of 18 matches and Bilbao not having a particularly good record on the road. It would be very surprising if Atletico Bilbao manage to get a result here.
Unfortunately for Bilbao, this is more than likely going to damper their European aspirations.
Sevilla vs. Barcelona
Sevilla could be a major stumbling block for Barcelona, who really need to win here if they are to keep the pressure on Real Madrid. The match is equally as important to Sevilla who are also only one point ahead of their closest rivals.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 14 matches and have won the last three. Traditionally, Sevilla struggle against Barcelona, with the Blaugrana having won 68 of their 132 meetings. On the other hand, the home side has been playing pretty well and they are certainly a good side, so this should be an exciting and a fiercely competed game.
Villarreal vs. Valencia
Before their 4-1 defeat in the opposite fixture, Villarreal had been doing pretty well against Valencia in recent years. In fact, they were unbeaten in five meetings between the two sides.
Villarreal’s European aspirations hang in the balance and every point counts in the final matches of the season. Valencia have been on good form and have won their last three league games conceding only one goal in the process.
Whilst historically it might seem like the match may go in Villarreal’s favor, judging by the high quality of football Valencia have produced in recent weeks they should have no problems claiming the points.
