UFC on Versus 1 weigh-in results

UFC on Versus 1: "Vera vs. Jones" is officially set to go down as all 22 participants competing in tomorrow night's event successfully made weight without incident earlier today at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

UFC on Versus 1 takes place tomorrow, on March 21, at the same venue, and the event's main card will be televised on the Versus Network beginning at 9 p.m. ET. It will be the UFC's first live event to air on Versus, which has been home to the other Zuffa-owned promotion, the WEC, for the last three years.

The event is headlined by a very intriguing light-heavyweight bout between Brandon Vera and promising prospect Jon Jones. Jones came in at 206 pounds, while Vera weighed in two pounds lighter at 204 lbs. In the co-main event, fast rising contender Junior dos Santos will meet former UFC heavyweight title contender Gabriel Gonzaga. Dos Santos weighed in at 238 lbs and Gonzaga came in considerably heavier at 255 pounds.

Other bouts on the main card include a heavyweight bout between strikers Cheick Kongo and Paul Buentello as well as a middleweight bout between sluggers James Irvin and Alessio Sakara to open the telecast.

Also of note, preliminary card fighter Brendan Schaub's weight was announced as 264 lbs for his heavyweight bout against Chase Gormley. However, Schaub is considered to be a smaller heavyweight and he looked nowhere near 264 pounds. A commission official has since informed MMAjunkie.com that Schaub's weight amount was announced incorrectly and his correct weight is 245 lbs.
