Arkansas Pine Bluff did something that no other team out of the SWAC had done since 1993, they won a NCAA game (if you call it that). In doing so they have poked the sleeping bear. Their celebrating better be short and sweet because on Friday they step up to face one of the best teams in the country, the Duke Blue Devils.

Not only are the Golden Lions drawing a very good Duke team, they are getting one with a huge chip on their shoulders!

Since getting their #1 seed in the South Bracket, the Devils have been hated on by more people than if Tiger Woods started dating Paris Hilton. The mass media is saying that race, name, and history led them to getting one of the most generous draws in NCAA history.

While the draw may have been somewhat generous, the NCAA does not hand out banners at the selection show. If Duke is going to make the Final Four and push for another Coach K title, then they are going to have to play very well.

They begin their run against this very Arkansas Pine Bluff team this Friday.

This is the same Golden Lions team that started their season 1-12. I can't defend such a horrid beginning, but it happened on arguably the worst road trip of any team in the nation.

Last night ARPB used solid play by Allen Smith and Tavaris Washington, but will need much more for a shocking upset of Duke.

All in all, this Lions team does not have the talent, coaching, or testicular fortitude to contend with an average Duke team, let alone a hungry one.

Duke will show up on Friday ready to play. Nolan Smith even commented about it on his Twitter. They are ready to make a run, unfortunately Pine Bluff is the first on their 6 game list.
