5-Star SF Jordan Page Announces CBB Commitment Between UConn, UNC, More
Dan Hurley is off to an excellent start with the 2027 recruiting class.
As ESPN's Jeff Borzello reported Sunday, highly regarded prospect Jordan Page joined NaVorro Bowman Jr. in the loaded UConn recruiting class:
According to 247Sports' composite rankings, Page is a 5-star prospect and the No. 12 overall player and No. 4 small forward in the 2027 class. He picked the Huskies over North Carolina.
Brad Crawford of CBS Sports reported that North Carolina was seen as the initial favorite for Page until a visit to UConn played a major role in his decision to change his mind.
Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports provided a scouting report and highlighted the forward's "versatile two-way floor game" and ability to finish in transition. Page can attack off the bounce, cut into the lane without the ball and hit from the mid-range.
He needs to improve his three-point touch, but playing in a talented offense such as UConn's could help him do just that.
Finkelstein suggested he could become "elite" on the defensive side because of his combination of size, strength and athleticism that helps him cut into passing lanes, bother shooters and slide laterally in front of ball-handlers.
Page is yet another 5-star commitment for Hurley, as Bowman is also ranked as such.
Bowman is a guard who can handle the ball, score himself and facilitate when defenders collapse on him, which means he could be an ideal complement to Page. Look for the pair to take over Big East stretches at times and keep the Huskies among the best teams in the league during their collegiate careers.
According to 247Sports, UConn now has the No. 2 recruiting class in the country for 2027 behind only Houston.
