Mike Holmgren: Here's Some Suggestions For the "Big Show"
Mike Holmgren has made a lot of changes in the Browns' organization over the past few weeks. The moves he has made have received a lot of attention both positive and negative. Personally, everything he has done so far are good steps to get this team back on track in 2010.
Retaining Eric Mangini
Whether you like this move or not, it's the right decision for now . The "Big Show" needs to keep him on a short leash, but with the support of the players and a four game winning streak, you have to give him at least one more year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Hiring of Tom Heckert as GM
I can't say that I know a lot about Heckert, but I do like the idea of bringing in a guy from a winning organization to be the third voice in the war room.
Continuing to search for and fill other front office positions
Last year the Browns' front office staff was basically Mangini. Holmgren is trying to surround himself with good men from winning organizations, and who can argue with that?
But the job is far from finished Holmgren, so I will now take on the role of the "Big Show" and tell you what the next steps should be.
1) Fill the scouting directors position immediately
The NFL draft is coming up sooner than we think, and you need to get your guy out there at the Senior Bowl and combine to get to know this upcoming class. The Browns have 11 picks in this year's draft and it's finally time to stock up on good young players to turn the organization around.
2) Fire Brian Daboll
With doing this you run the risk of alienating Eric Mangini, but at this point that doesn't matter. Brian Daboll is not an NFL play caller. A west coast offense guy needs to be brought in. Holmgren, Heckert, and whoever comes on as scouting director are/will be west coast offense guys, it's what they know how to draft for. I also think that if Brady Quinn is their QB, he could benefit from this.
3) Fire Dawn Aponte VP of Football Administration
Aponte has no business being in the organization, and someone has to take the fall for the Josh Cribbs situation. Enough said.
4) Re-sign Jerome Harrison
Harrison proved himself more than anyone since Holmgren came to Cleveland and deserves a good contract. Numbers don't lie and he had better numbers over the last four weeks than any other RB.
5) Give Josh Cribbs a new contract
Now I'm not saying he deserves $6 million a year or anything because he is primarily a special teams player. But, he's still the best player on the team and deserves much more than the league minimum. Show this man the same love from the organization that he gets from the fans. On a side note just in case Cribbs reads this: Shut your agent up or fire him; he is just making the situation worse.
6) Make a QB decision
Whether it's Quinn, Anderson, or someone else make a decision trade the other(s) and stick with it. The rest of the offense needs to know going into the offseason who to rally around. Also, bringing in a vet back-up is a great option for any of these young guys to learn from.
7) Draft a team as a team
Finally, there are quite a few good football minds in this organization. No one man should have the say on draft day. Holmgren, Heckert, Mangini, Ryan, an OC to be named later, and the scouting director should all have a say in every pick.
Also, the Browns have a lot of holes to fill and these should be filled mostly in the draft, with a few key free agents. They need to look at players that complement the system and coaching style.
There is a lot of work ahead of you Holmgren, but if you continue building the organization as you have started with intelligent football men all around, then it is possible to get this once proud franchise back to prominence.
