New NBA Free-Throw Rule Explained

My Plan for the Golden State Warriors Warriors

Clutch Time SportsJan 3, 2010

When you're 9-22, no one on your roster should be untouchable. Monta isn't the right player to build around. He's a nice spark to have off the bench for some instant offense, but he just isn't bright enough to really improve his game. He leads the league in turnovers and is a selfish player.

I'd scrap this whole team and rebuild through the draft and free agency next year. This is already a lost season and its not like they're going to the playoffs anyways. Chances are, they won't be worse than Minnesota or New Jersey, so I see them having the 3rd to 4th overall pick. They need to get rid of all these big contracts along with a coaching change for next Season. Give Nellie talent and he'll run them out of town.

1) Send Curry, Biedrins, Maggette and Turiaf to the Knicks for Chris Duhon, Darko Milicic, Jordan Hill and Wilson Chandler. Hill is a guy I thought the Warriors should of drafted and D'Antoni really wanted Curry. Curry also really wanted to be a Knick. For the price, the Knicks would have to take on Maggette's contract. The Warriors would shed $14M from this deal and save much more over the next 4 years. They also get some serviceable players back. The Knicks would have a line up of Curry, Hughes, Gallinari, Harrington and Biedrins with Lee off the bench.

2) Send Monta Ellis to the Wizards for Javale McGee and Mike Miller. Miller is on the IR until next month and the Wizards need scoring help in a bad way. They're starting Foye with Arenas, so replacing Foye with Ellis would be a big upgrade for them. With the way things are panning out in DC, they could look to rebuild, getting Ellis will surely put them in the right direction. The Warriors get a $9M expiring contract in Miller, but he's a guy when healthy, can really be a special player in Nellie's game-plan for the season.

For 2010, they'll be under the cap by $30M and could land two solid players in the free agent market. They won't get the James or Wade, but they can entice someone like Joe Johnson with a contract that starts at $13M a year. Then they can turn their attention onto their own free agents like Miller and Duhon. They then dangle their own lottery pick along with Randolph to try and nab the #1 overall pick...John Wall. All of a sudden..you have a line up for 2010 that looks like this:

PG: John Wall - Chris Duhon
SG: Joe Johnson - Anthony Morrow
SF: Mike Miller - Vladmir Radmanovic
PF: Jordan Hill - Brandan Wright
C: JaVale McGee - Chris Hunter

And they'd still have the option of trying to lure some other players since they'll still be under the cap before they re-sign their own free agents. This all may seem a bit far-fetched, but some of these moves are very capable of happening. They need a team make over desperately, all of these moves are possible.
