Valero Alamo Bowl 2020: Odds, Daily Fantasy Tips for Texas vs. Colorado
The Texas Longhorns are favored by more than a touchdown to win the Alamo Bowl over the Colorado Buffaloes, but winning or covering may not be easy for Tom Herman's side on Tuesday night.
Texas has been involved in six one-possession games, and it is dealing with a handful of absences due to opt outs.
Even if they were at full strength, the Longhorns would have faced a challenge from Colorado, who flew under the national radar with a 4-1 Pac-12 record.

Daily Fantasy Tips
Build Around Jarek Broussard Against Depleted Texas Defense

Broussard delivered a breakout campaign in just five games, running for 813 yards and 6.3 yards per carry.
The sophomore running back gets a chance to prove his mettle outside of the Pac-12 against a Texas defense that will be without linebacker Joseph Ossai and defensive back Caden Sterns, who have opted out of bowl season.
Ossai led the Longhorns with five sacks and was tied for second on the team in tackles with 54. Sterns was one of four Texas players with more than 50 tackles.
The absences should hurt a Texas defense that was far from perfect in the Big 12. Texas allowed 409.8 yards and 29.1 points per game.
In Texas' last matchup with a premier running back, it allowed 91 yards on 20 carries to Breece Hall of the Iowa State Cyclones.
If Broussard matches the 4.6 yards per carry earned by Hall, he would be a solid anchor to your daily fantasy lineups.
In fact, he could be the best running back play of Tuesday's two-game slate since Chuba Hubbard is not playing for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Cheez-It Bowl.
Trust Sam Ehlinger Without His Top Target

If you are playing the Alamo Bowl from a single-game daily fantasy perspective, Sam Ehlinger is the much better quarterback option than Sam Noyer.
The Texas senior will be without wide receiver Brennan Eagles and offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi, who both opted out, but he is still the better choice because he throws at a higher volume.
Ehlinger averaged 34 pass attempts per game and wracked up 33 total touchdowns, 25 of which came through the air.
In his last two bowl games, Ehlinger put up seven total touchdowns. He had three rushing scores in the 2019 Sugar Bowl win over the Georgia Bulldogs and four total scores in last year's Alamo Bowl victory over the Utah Utes.
Noyer has far less experience in comparison to his Texas counterpart since this season is his first as a starting quarterback.
With Colorado relying more on Broussard for success, Noyer should have fewer pass attempts than Ehlinger.
If Ehlinger's bowl form conveys itself into Tuesday's game in San Antonio, Texas, he could cover up for the absences and lead the Longhorns to a win.
