La Liga Results 2018: Full Table and Scores After Final Week 36 Match

Rory MarsdenMay 7, 2018

Three second-half goals from Levante saw them to a 3-0 victory over Leganes on Monday as Week 36 of the 2017-18 La Liga season came to a close.

Jose Luis Morales and Enis Bardhi scored twice in quick succession just before the hour to put the visitors in control at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque, and Coke added a third 13 minutes from time.

There was little on the line given that Levante and Leganes have already confirmed their Spanish top-flight future, but they still played out an entertaining fixture that saw the hosts reduced to 10 men when Joseba Zaldua saw red just before the hour.

Here is what the table looks like after Monday's action and the weekend's results:

Monday Recap

It wasn't until the 55-minute mark that Monday's clash kicked into life, but it was worth the wait.

A beautiful clipped finish from Morales put Levante in the lead after he had been fed in the box by Jason.

Two minutes later, the visitors were on the attack again, and Morales was hauled down when through on goal by Zaldua.

The Leganes defender rightly saw a straight red, and Levante were awarded a free-kick right on the edge of the box, from which Bardhi doubled the lead.

He sent a low effort towards the corner of the goal, and it snuck inside the post despite Nereo Champagne getting a touch to it.

In the space of five minutes, the game had gone from evenly poised to all but over.

And Coke guaranteed the points in the 77th minute when he guided home a finish from the six-yard line after a fine buildup from the back by Levante.

Levante have now won four games on the spin in La Liga and moved above Leganes into 16th as a result of Monday's three points.
