Drew Bledsoe Responds to Celtics' Terry Rozier Wearing His Patriots Jersey
May 1, 2018
Former New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe appreciated seeing Boston Celtics guard Terry Rozier don a No. 11 Patriots jersey prior to Monday's second-round playoff game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The gesture was Rozier's way of continuing to throw shade at Milwaukee Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe.
The saga began when Rozier called Bledsoe "Drew" during a postgame press conference following Boston's Game 1 win in the first round. Later in the series, Bledsoe responded to a question about Rozier by telling reporters, "I don't know who the f--k that is."
After the Celtics beat the Sixers 117-101 on Monday night at TD Garden, Rozier remained coy about the Drew Bledsoe jersey, telling TNT's Rosalyn Gold-Onwude the throwback was simply to honor the four-time Pro Bowler:
Rozier torched Philadelphia for 29 points and shot 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. Maybe he should keep pulling out Patriots throwbacks for the rest of the playoffs.
