La Liga Results 2018: Table, Scores and Reaction After Final Week 35 Match

Real Betis came back from a goal down to beat bottom-of-the-table Malaga 2-1 on Monday and confirm their spot in next season's UEFA Europa League. 

The entertaining clash at the Estadio Benito Villamarin brought to an end a weekend of action in Spain that saw Barcelona crowned champions and Deportivo La Coruna confirmed as the final relegated side.

Youssef En-Nesyri gave the visitors the lead in the first half before Riza Durmisi equalised after 24 minutes, and Fabian netted the winner 17 minutes from time.

Malaga have endured a chastening season in the Spanish top flight and were confirmed to be dropping out of La Liga after a 10-year stay back on April 19. 

They have won just five matches this season but did go into Monday's clash on the back of a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad.

And they started well in an open match against Betis, marginally edging the opening exchanges despite Antonio Barragan crashing a shot against the bar in the 18th minute.

Two minutes later, En-Nesyri found the net, showing great strength and composure to finish from the edge of the box after being put through on goal by Isaac Success.

Malaga's lead did not last long as left-back Durmisi took advantage of some unforgivably ponderous defending to rob the ball in the box and sweep home in the 24th minute.

Fabian then showed immense quality in the 73rd minute for the winner, side-footing a delightful finish into the bottom corner from outside the box to complete the turnaround.

The Seville-based outfit now sit five points ahead of sixth-placed Villarreal with three games to play in 2017-18, while Malaga are still rooted to the bottom, two points behind Las Palmas.
