Recap
Derby took a point off Villa to send the visiting fans home relatively happy, although things could have been so much better.
Cameron Jerome gave the visitors an early lead, and Derby looked like they would weather Villa's ensuing onslaught. The Villans deserved an equaliser but didn't get it until the 84th minute, when Lewis Grabban finally tied things up.
BBC Derby's Chris Coles was not too disappointed:
A win would have left Derby on 74 points, which would have effectively ended the play-off race with one matchday still to play after Boro's win. However, Preston North End's 1-0 victory over Sheffield United leaves the Lilywhites just two points behind Derby.
Both clubs will face teams in the thick of the relegation battle on the final matchday, setting up a thrilling finale to the regular season. Preston will face Burton Albion while Derby face Barnsley.
Barnsley and Burton both took 2-0 wins over Brentford and Bolton, respectively. Channel 5 Sport shared this highlight from Barnsley's win:
Burton moved past fellow relegation candidates Bolton with their win, leaving all three teams just a single point apart. Reading and Birmingham City are also just two points ahead of Burton and Barnsley.
