
Premier League Votes Not to Use VAR Next Season, Keep Testing in FA, League Cups
Premier League clubs have voted against the introduction of the video assistant referee (VAR) system for next season's tournament.
Per Sam Wallace of the Telegraph, further testing will take place before its introduction in the Premier League following a number of problems highlighted in this season's cup competitions:

One of the key reasons VAR has proved unpopular among fans is a lack of clarity in the stadium which decision is being reviewed and why.
The Football Association are looking to partially resolve that issue in the FA Cup semi-finals later this month by providing information pertaining to any VAR review on Wembley's big screens, per Wallace.
While it seems inevitable video review will feature in the Premier League at some stage, VAR's trial in the cup competitions in England this term has been far from a success. With significant improvements, clubs could revisit the technology ahead of the 2019/20 season.
