Bayern Munich, PSG Reportedly Interested in Chelsea Loanee Kenedy
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea loanee Kenedy, who has impressed at Newcastle United since making the temporary switch in January.
According to Sky Sports, the European giants and several unnamed English clubs are monitoring his situation and have asked Chelsea to keep them informed should they decide to sell him on a permanent basis.
The Brazilian joined Chelsea from Fluminense in 2015, but fitness and attitude issues have seen him make just 27 first-team appearances. Matt Law of the Telegraph noted he was criticised by his manager for yawning during a team meeting, which came shortly after he was sent home from a pre-season tour of Asia following backlash from his social media posts insulting China.

He had made five appearances for the Blues this season prior to his move, scoring once and assisting twice. Since moving to St. James' Park, he has made eight Premier League appearances, grabbing two goals and as many assists.
The 22-year-old's brace in the Magpies' 3-0 win over Southampton last month helped him stand out on Tyneside, per OptaJoe:
Beyond that, he has injected dynamism onto Newcastle's left flank, and he has played an important role in lifting the club—who were in the relegation zone in December after a run of eight defeats in nine matches—to 10th in the table, 10 points clear of the drop.
Scouted Football singled Kenedy out for praise when Newcastle beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 after the international break:
He's a skilful and exciting player to watch, too, as the Chronicle's Lee Ryder noted during the Magpies' 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday:
Kenedy told UOL he is interested in staying with Newcastle (h/t Ryder): "If it's good for everyone, it would be a pleasure to continue wearing the shirt of this great team. This new phase of my career in Newcastle's shirt makes me very happy."
He'd be an excellent buy for the Magpies, but his performances could put him out of their reach financially, especially if he generates interest from bigger clubs in the summer.
He has much more to prove before he's worthy of consideration for the likes of Bayern or PSG, though—standing out in a side like Newcastle's for a matter of months is far from enough to suggest he could command a starting berth at a club of their calibre.
Kenedy has the potential to play at that level, but he needs to consistently shine over a longer period before earning another shot at a top UEFA Champions League club.
