Recap

It was a good day at the office for Eibar as they made easy work of Girona at home, slamming four past their opponents in a clinical display.

Inui was the man of the moment, scoring twice to lead his side to victory and a significant climb in the table.

The Japanese attacker linked with Jose Angel for the opener in the first minute of the game, and the writing was on the wall for the Catalan visitors.

It was 2-0 after 10 minutes as Blanquivermell collapsed, with Angel the creator once again.

The full-back set up Charles to head home, and the match appeared over as a contest before it had even begun.

However, Girona midfielder David Timor provided a brief glimpse of hope as his free-kick hit the back of the net after 26 minutes, but the goal turned out to be just a consolation.

OptaJose highlighted the significance of Timor's effort:

Inui continued to be a thorn in the side of the visitors into the second half, and the 29-year-old scored his team's third of the night nine minutes after the restart from close range.

Ruben Pena should have grabbed a fourth for Eibar as the match raced to its conclusion, but it was left to Jordan to complete the scoring in stoppage time.

The winners hailed Inui's contribution:

Alaves directed traffic in the first half of their game with Malaga, but a plethora of chances could not break the deadlock before half-time.

The hosts had to wait until the hour mark to gain their just rewards, as Munir slotted home with a right-foot volley.

The 22-year-old had been a threat throughout the match and could have scored a hatful on the night.

Malaga tried to fight back in the final moments, but they remain rooted in the relegation zone—four points away from safety.

Alaves climb up to 17th as they recorded only their fourth win of the La Liga season.
