Manchester United, Manchester City Won't Face FA Action for Fight in Tunnel

The English Football Association has said Manchester United and Manchester City will not face sanctions after an incident in the tunnel following their derby encounter on Dec. 10.

BBC Sport reported the governing body has decided no charges will be brought against either team based on the available evidence.

The incident reportedly took place after City defeated their local rivals 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Per BBC Sport, United manager Jose Mourinho "had water and milk thrown at him" after an argument. City coach Mikel Arteta also suffered a cut to his head.

However, the FA said they consulted witnesses in the tunnel and have no intention to proceed with a punishment.

Mourinho reportedly had words with City goalkeeper Ederson as the visitors celebrated their important Premier League victory.

Arteta was cut after being hit by a plastic bottle, but both clubs said no fight occurred after the match.
