Recap

Betis were efficient as they collected the win at Malaga, winning the contest after a comprehensive and efficient display on Monday night.

The visitors dominated possession and were rewarded for their exploits midway through the first half as they grabbed the lead.

Leon was the hero as he found the back of the net, latching on to Joaquin's well-crafted assist after 24 minutes.

Malaga struggled as they attempted to make progress before half-time, and they were suitably punished after the restart.

Antonio Barragan set up Camarasa, who made no mistake with an accurate header from close range.

The second goal killed any thoughts of a comeback by Malaga, and the hosts' disappointment was compounded after losing Adrian Gonzalez to a red card shortly after the hour mark.

It was another disappointing night for the Anchovies, and relegation is on the agenda as La Liga approaches the turn of the year.
