Gerard Pique Tweets Neymar Will Stay at Barcelona Amid PSG Transfer Rumours

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has waded in on the transfer saga linking Neymar with Paris Saint-Germain, taking to social media to tell fans his team-mate is staying at the Camp Nou.

He posted this on Twitter:

The ongoing saga has quickly taken on ridiculous proportions, as French and Spanish reporters alike have been contradicting each other with seemingly every report.

Marca, one of Spain's leading newspapers, managed to post one article that stated Neymar had decided to stay at Barcelona and another that he had agreed to a deal with PSG within 24 hours.

To make the confusion worse, Neymar and his team-mates remained silent for days, refusing to give a clear answer when asked about the Brazilian's future. Pique bucked the trend, however, and sports writer Sid Lowe drew his own conclusion:
