The 25-year-old was at the centre of a huge fight that started when he twice fired a ball at full force at aย Guangzhou player. He then tried to carry on with the match, but his opponents swarmed him, leading to the brawl.

Perย Goal, two players were sent off as a result of the brawl, but Oscar was not. Opposing manager Dragan Stojkovic called for a fitting punishment, however:
"I never allowย my players to play so dirty. We respect our opponents, spectators and referees.ย
"Justice will prevail. I believe everybody saw what happened and I saw quite clearly what happened."
Both teams finished the match with 10 players, with the two sides sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
