Company Selling LaVar Ball Autographed Cards for $59.95 Each on eBay
LaVar Ball continues to find new ways to cash in on his newfound fame.
According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, Leaf Trading Cards are selling cards with Ball's face and autograph on them for $59.95 each. They went on sale Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET on eBay with 200 available and sold out immediately:
The outspoken parent is currently selling shoes for his son, the ZO2s, for $495 on his personal Big Baller Brand website. However, this latest venture was for a different reason.
"This wasn't all about the money," he said. "I think it's cool to have a card."
The cards each have different sayings from Ball on them, including "I am better than Jordan," a reference to his claim that he could beat Hall of Famer Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one.
"The fact is that LaVar Ball is a significant pop culture icon," Leaf CEO Brian Gray said. "My job is to create a collectible element for personalities like him. We'll now see if the market is real, not based on what people will pay to first buy them, but what they will resell them for."
Financial terms are not yet known for Ball's part of the deal.
