FIFA 18 will take realism to an all-new level this year, as Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo provided full motion technology to replicate his playing style, and the game will focus on authentic atmospheres around the world.
EA Sports FIFA shared this trailer, which was shown at Electronic Arts' EA Play event, showing some of the new features fans can expect:
ChuBoi saw Ronaldo's unique celebration he used against Atletico Madrid in the game, and sent a warning to future opponents:
Ronaldo won't be the only player in the game who moves like his real-life counterpart, as the trailer showed a multitude of stars, including Raheem Sterling and Antoine Griezmann, taking part in motion capture for the game.
As shared by OutsideXbox, the team in charge of the game also talked about Alex Hunter, the subject of last year's major new feature, The Journey. They're already gearing up for a return of the beloved character:
Joe Vargas, the man behind Angry Joe, wondered whether the continuation of Hunter's story means EA will use a similar approach in other games:
YouTuber Castro1021 was ecstatic to be in the trailer:
All in all, the reveal for FIFA 18 was rather short, with Roger Bennett and Michael Davies from the Men in Blazers podcast making an appearance before EA moved on to different games. Many FIFA fans, including MGH, were left disappointed:
FIFA 18 will be released on September 29 for PC, PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, while the Nintendo Switch will also receive a FIFA title this year.
