Warriors Make History by Sweeping Spurs, Advancing to NBA Finals

Andrew GouldMay 23, 2017

The Golden State Warriors didn't waste any time returning to the NBA Finals.

On Monday night, they cemented their third postseason sweep of the year by defeating the short-handed San Antonio Spurs. Following the victory, the Warriors are 12-0 in the playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz and Spurs.

They became the first team to enter the Finals undefeated since the NBA expanded the first round from a best-of-five to best-of-seven slate in 2003.
