Before handily beating Tonbridge Angels 8-3 in the Ryman League Cup final on Wednesday night, Billericay Town owner and manager Glenn Tamplin delivered an off-the-rails pregame speech.
For starters, he was a 12 on the 1-10 intensity scale…for nearly six whole minutes.
Secondly, Tamplin had the players huddle up and sing a good portion of R. Kelly’s 2003 hit "The World's Greatest." He retweeted this on his personal page:
Peculiar as it may have been, Tamplin's speech proved successful, as his team was the one that hoisted the trophy.
