Arsenal were stunned 3-0 by Crystal Palace on Monday to see their chances of clinching a top-four finish in this season's Premier League suffer another major blow.

Andros Townsend nipped in to snatch the opener at Selhurst Park before second-half strikes from Yohan Cabaye and Luka Milivojevic sealed a comprehensive victory for Palace, leaving the Gunners sixth in the division.

Manchester United and league leaders Chelsea headline Week 33 with what promises to be a titanic head-to-head at Old Trafford on Sunday as manager Jose Mourinho's former club make the trip north.

Manchester United vs. Chelsea

Chelsea have responded magnificently since suffering their first loss since January in a recent 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace, beating Manchester City and Bournemouth in quick succession and with United next in their sights.

The Blues and the Red Devils have undergone a transformation in title prospects in the years since Sir Alex Ferguson left United in 2013, with the Premier League leaders edging Sunday's opponents in form over the past two terms:

One pick-me-up for United in the buildup to their Week 33 encounter came in the form of team news as BBC Radio Manchester's Bill Rice provided quotes from Mourinho, who said goalkeeper David De Gea could return against Chelsea:

The Spain No. 1 was missing for United's 3-0 win at Sunderland on Sunday, and United will need all their key components if they're to hold back the likes of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Willian.

Defeat at Old Trafford could see Chelsea potentially fall within four points of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, while a win for United may be enough to see them within a point of Manchester City in fourth, having played a game fewer.

Southampton vs. Manchester City

In contrast to last season, Southampton's win record has been almost evenly split between their home and away record this term, but they'll need to reconnect with their fortress mentality for the visit of City this Saturday.

Manager Pep Guardiola has lost just once in his last 10 Premier League outings and has resurrected his side after a sour patch of form, speaking hopefully of their top-four chances recently, per the club's official Twitter account:

Saints manager Claude Puel is also upbeat about his side's prospects for the remainder of the campaign, however, and recently said Southampton—currently ninth—can secure a top-half finish, per Sky Sports' Richard Morgan:

"

Every game it is difficult to know the scenario of each game, but the [EFL Cup] final and the other games were always with quality with good play and spirit.

Sometimes we had good results, sometimes it was not enough. But I think we stayed with a good performance and it is now important to stay in the top half of the table and this is the objective for the moment.

"

Southampton are unbeaten in their last two home outings after beating Crystal Palace 3-1 and drawing 0-0 with south-coast derby opponents Bournemouth at St. Mary's Stadium earlier this month.

That being said, Puel's men have arguably the most intimidating attack in the division bearing down on them this Saturday, although the fact City lost in their last away trip—against Chelsea—will give the Saints hope for a result.
