Carl Jenkinson's late equaliser earned Arsenal a point after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League 2 on Monday.

Thierry Ambrose double saw City 2-0 up before the half-hour mark, and Lukas Nmecha then netted what looked to be the winner after Arsenal had drawn level, but Jenkinson scored the vital goal in stoppage time.

As a result, Division 1 leaders Everton moved five points clear of City at the top of the table after they claimed a 3-2 away win at Derby County.

Monday Recap

Ambrose put City ahead after just 16 minutes in north London as he slid a fine effort home following link-up play with Denzeil Boadu.

The second came 12 minutes later as he tucked a finish underneath goalkeeper Ryan Huddart following a fine aerial ball from Ed Francis.

Arsenal fought back impressively to level after 55 minutes. Donyell Malen netted the hosts' first just before the break, and Reiss Nelson then wrong-footed Aro Muric to equalise 10 minutes into the second half.

However, Nmecha then put City ahead again from the penalty spot with 20 minutes remaining after Isaac Buckley-Ricketts was hacked down in the box.

And when the clock ticked past 90 minutes, it looked as though City had done enough to keep pace with the Toffees at the top of the table.

But Jenkinson netted a left-footed equaliser in the dying seconds to snatch a point, per Arsenal:

Everton were beaten 3-0 by City in their last clash, but they were back to winning ways on Monday at Pride Park.

It was not plain sailing for the Toffees, though. They were 1-0 up through Bassala Sambou in the 14th minute, but a rapid-fire double just before half-time from Emil Ris Jakobsen saw the hosts remarkably leading at the break.

Everton got back to level terms through Liam Walsh's penalty in the 76th minute, then David Henen poked home two minutes later for the winner.

It was a hugely spirited fight back from Everton, and they also have Jenkinson to thank for helping them move five points clear at the head of the table.

Swansea enjoyed huge celebrations as they earned the necessary point to see them crowned champions of the second tier:

Twice they had to come from behind at the Liberty Stadium, Oli McBurnie cancelling out Danny Armstrong's opener int he first half before George Byers drew the Swans level again just after the hour after Duckens Nazon struck for Wolves.
