Atletico Madrid vs. Leverkusen: Team News, Live Stream and TV Info for UCL Match
Atletico Madrid are in a strong position to reach the quarter-final of this season's UEFA Champions League when they face Bayer Leverkusen for the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Estadio Vicente Calderon on Wednesday.
Atleti boast a 4-2 lead from the first leg and have the firepower up top to punish their visitors from the Bundesliga. Specifically, Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann is hitting peak form at the business end of the season after proving a thorn in Leverkusen's side during the first leg.
Leverkusen have their own attacking prowess, though, and will rely on former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez and exciting winger Julian Brandt posing Atletico's normally stingy defence a problem or two.

Team News
Atletico's chances of sealing a place in the last eight will hinge on Griezmann. Fortunately, the gifted Frenchman has been in free-scoring form lately, with OptaJose detailing his prolific exploits in La Liga:
Griezmann is the player Leverkusen must be wary of, but there was good news for Atletico when veteran striker Fernando Torres returned to training. The 32-year-old made his comeback following a serious head injury suffered against Deportivo La Coruna earlier this month, per Agence France-Presse (h/t Sky Sports).
There is a chance Torres may even feature for the return against Leverkusen, according to the report. If so, his partnership with Griezmann would offer the classic complement of styles, with the latter's pace and movement dovetailing well with Torres' aerial power.

However, Torres' return might give Atleti manager Diego Simeone something of a selection headache. While the Torres and Griezmann double act is effective, so is a partnership between Griezmann and fellow French attacker Kevin Gameiro.
Further back, at least Simeone will have Stefan Savic to call on, despite the defender suffering a broken nose. Instead, the Montenegro international will play with a mask to protect his injury, according to Atletico's official site (h/t ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan).
Savic is likely to be needed to help subdue a capable Leverkusen attack forced into gung-ho mode for the second leg.
The visitors' cause won't be helped by problems in defence, though. Specifically, Turkish defender Omer Toprak will miss out after picking up an ankle problem, according to the club's official website (h/t ESPN FC's Stephan Uersfeld).

Frankly, the tie already looks beyond Leverkusen after they conceded four times at the BayArena in the first leg. Atleti should comfortably reach the quarter-final and continue their bid for a third final appearance in four seasons.
