Friday Recap
Las Palmas' creativity presented no rewards for the hosts as they threw away the chance of points against Sociedad.
A wasteful first half saw both sides struggle to remain dangerous, but when opportunity presented itself, neither team could find the target.
The hosts showed plenty of promise through midfield but rarely threatened the Sociedad goal with venom.
The tempo improved as both teams attempted to control territory, but a goalless first half was the correct scoreline as the players exited the field at the half-time break.
The visitors' official Twitter feed provided footage of the best moments:
The defining stanza of the game came in the 74th minute as Las Palmas imploded, presenting Prieto with the easiest of chances to win the match.
A calamitous few seconds in the Yellows' defence gifted the midfielder the winner in a tight contest on the Canary Islands.
Goalkeeper Javi Varas misplaced a simple pass out of his box, and Prieto side-footed home as the stopper held his head in his hands. The strike was enough for the visitors, despite the home side pushing forward when possible.
Kevin-Prince Boateng went closest to grabbing a late equaliser, but La Real remained solid to earn a deserved clean sheet and three points.
