Pistons Players Show Boban Marjanovic How to Defend Inbounder

Kyle NewportJan 9, 2017

Playing in his second season, Detroit Pistons center Boban Marjanovic is still learning on the job as he continues his transition to the NBA.

While he can improve his game in practice, there's nothing like in-game experience to help a player learn quickly.

In the final seconds of double overtime in Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers, the 7'3" Marjanovic found himself having to defend an inbounds pass.

Given that there was less than a second left to play, Detroit wanted to make sure Portland couldn't lob a pass into the paint and tip it in. Pistons players on the bench gave Marjanovic some last-second pointers on how to defend.

What happened after that can only be described as hilarious.

The Trail Blazers were unable to come up with a last-second basket, giving the Pistons a 125-124 victory.
